Ministries

  • Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

The Ministers of Eucharist perform the extraordinary service of sharing the presence of Christ with all who receive the body and blood of Christ. They are ministers of the assembly in the

service of the Lord. They also share in the ministry to the sick, taking the Holy Eucharist to those who cannot get to Church for Mass, and sharing with them their continuing unity with

    the parish and the church.

If you feel you are called to this ministry, please call the parish office or talk to Fr. Mark.

  • Eucharistic Adoration

Holy Trinity Parish offers Eucharistic Adoration on Mondays at St. Matthew Church in Plymouth from 7:45 AM until 7:00 PM,  and on Thursdays at the Marian Center Chapel in Bristol from 7:45 to 10:00 AM.

All are invited and encouraged to participate in this beautiful and fulfilling experience.

    What is Eucharistic Adoration?

Eucharistic adoration is the act of worshiping the Lord, present in the consecrated Eucharist. Our faith teaches us that Jesus is fully present in Eucharist and so spending time before the Blessed Sacrament in prayer is the same as spending time before the living God. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed in a monstrance (pictured) on the altar.

What do I do during my time before the Lord?

Your adoration experience will be unique to you. Here are some suggestions for things to do during your adoration hour.. Pray using your favorite prayers or passages from the bible. Prayer books, pamphlets and Bibles will be available for your use in the church.

Meditate using scripture or the life of a saint or an experience from your own life. Ask God what he wishes for you. Listen..

Pray the Rosary, asking our Blessed Mother to be with you as you adore her son. Intercede for all parishioners. Spend the hour asking for healing and praying for the intentions of all members of our Parish family.

Kneel or sit quietly and just be in the presence of the Lord. Listen.

    How can I participate?

You can choose to be before the Lord for a brief period or a longer time. This is an excellent way to discover what adoration means to you and whether you are being called to more regular participation.
